Dental implants are the most predictable and longest lasting way to replace missing teeth. They have been used in dentistry for decades, and with great results. Studies show that, under ideal conditions, they are 98% successful. That is why we offer a life-time guarantee on dental implants that have been placed and restored by our dental clinic.
An ideal patient for dental implants should have enough bone structure to hold the implant stable. He or she needs to be in good health condition too. If you suffer from uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, arthritis, smoking the success rate of the implant may be reduced.
Rest assured, though: Dentistry Nicaragua has been placing dental implants for many years with great success. Our dentists have been trained on implant dentistry at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA), and you will be in experienced and skilled hands at our clinic.
There are many protocols to place and restore dental implants, but we believe in the ones that generic studies and our own experience have proven to be the most successful:
One Stage Dental Implants

One-stage dental implants have been around for many years and they have good success rate; however, they are only recommended in certain cases. They tend to be successful on front teeth; also, they are great for totally edentulous jaws which can take four to six implants and be restored immediately.
Two-Stage Dental Implants
Two-stage dental implants are the most recommended, and the typical procedure our Dentistry implant specialists will use. This protocol has been 98% successful for many years. Due to the healing period between the first and second steps, the body is able to create a strong junction between the titanium dental implants and the bone structure, resulting in a longer-lasting restoration. The two stages are usually completed in a four- to six-month time period. Replacing missing teeth promptly is essential to your overall dental functionality, as failing to do so results in gaps in your mouth which both leave the remaining teeth unsupported and force the remaining teeth to work harder than they should when you eat. If left unsupported, the remaining teeth may drift along the jaw bone, reducing the spaces between them; they may become weaker, making brushing and flossing more difficult.
Missing teeth can jeopardize the integrity of the jaw bone and even change the shape of your face. Missing teeth can make you look older and less healthy. Some major health problems such as TMJ disorders may be consequence of not replacing missing teeth as well.
A very common reason people consider dental implants is because a sliding lower denture makes chewing and talking difficult. Dental Implants can also replace individual teeth and be used to secure partial bridges in the upper and lower jaws. The majority of patients treated with dental implants experience a significant improvement in their ability to chew food and smile more comfortably. One of the benefits of replacing teeth with dental implants is to be able to have a fake tooth that works almost like a natural one without damaging or disturbing the neighboring teeth.
Dental Implants are very durable and will last many years…oftentimes a lifetime. They require the same “maintenance” as real teeth, including brushing, flossing and regular dental check-ups. Dental Implants can help restore almost anyone’s smile even if natural teeth have been lost to injury or disease. Our doctors can replace any number of missing teeth (even all your teeth) permanently.
The procedure includes placing an anchor, often a titanium screw, directly into your jawbone. Once your jaw and gums have fully healed from implanting the anchor, a prosthetic tooth is attached to it. The prosthetic tooth is crafted to look just like your natural teeth, matching them in size, color, contour, and shape. Dental implants are affordable at Dentistry Nicaragua compared to comparable solutions in USA or Canada.
Your smile can be fully restored and even look better than before. You will also find eating easier and more enjoyable. Fibrin Membranes L-PRF
It is well known that the human body is amazing and has natural powers to help it heal and regenerate itself in certain circumstances. Additionally, there have been a variety of technological advances that have enabled Doctors to help their patients heal quicker, and now our Cosmetic Dentists are using one of the latest breakthroughs – Fibrin Membranes (L-PRF).
Here at Dentistry, we have begun treating select patients with L-PRF. The procedure creates a fibrin membrane that our Doctors place at surgical sites and in open wounds. This membrane helps nearly all of our patients heal quicker after they undergo a variety of dental procedures. Due to the remarkable success our patients have had using L-PRF over the past year, we have continued to promote the use of fibrin membranes to those patients we believe will benefit from its use.
The process is relatively simple. We take a blood sample from our patient, centrifuge it (spin it) and collect a fibrin clot that is comprised of the following: fibrin, platelets (cell fragments that help initiate the healing process and they avoid the bleeding) and leukocytes (in charge of defending our body from virus, bacteria, fungal infections, etc.). Combined, these elements promote an efficient healing and reconstruction of the tissues at the site(s) where it is placed, without adding any chemicals, substances or foreign material.
L-PRF can be used in the following procedures:
Wisdom teeth surgery
Some of the benefits L-PRF provides include the following:
Helps control and reduce inflammation
Causes an analgesic effect on the tissue where it’s placed and acts as a mild pain killer
Contains stem cells that promote cell growth
Regenerates gum tissue
Decreases waiting time between the placement of implants and the final restoration of the implants
Helps control bleeding after surgery
There are no chemicals or foreign substances needed, it is your own cells that promote the regeneration/healing
It is an outpatient procedure completed in our office, so there is no need to visit laboratories or check into hospital.
